Are you experiencing a change in your life? Maybe you’re going through a divorce or breakup. The emotional roller coaster of change can be scary. It can shake us to our core. But what lies on the other side of that change can be beyond our wildest dreams. How do we not know what our future holds if we don’t let go of what no longer is serving us?
“Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead let life live through you. And do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that side you are used to is better than the one to come?” Rumi
When going through my divorce I had to learn to embrace change. I was use to the “picture perfect” lifestyle with my ideal house and ideal lifestyle. When all of a sudden it was like everything was swept out from underneath me.
I lost my house. I lost my security. I felt like the life I created for my kids was gone. It was during that time of complete brokenness that a counselor told me it’s time to create a new normal. Those words have stuck with me.
Sometimes we resist change thinking that there’s not a better side of life. When in reality we’re scared of the unknown. We stay stuck in our comfort zone. We become afraid of what life looks like if we make a big change rather it be a job, a new relationship, living in a new location, or walking away from a situation. Often the biggest breakthroughs are on the other side of fear.
If I hadn’t lost my home, my marriage and my security at that time I would have never created my new normal. And looking back that scares the crap out of me. Because where I am today is beyond more beautiful and unimaginable than I ever thought possible.
Have faith that the better and more beautiful side is to come.
“Breaking leads to opening. Opening allows expansion. Expansion creates more space. Space lets growth in. Lean into the break, the feeling, the uneasiness of it all. Goodness awaits you.”
Recently I had to do some more breaking. I was holding onto limiting beliefs I didn’t even know I had!
It was through a conversation with a friend and some other unexpected experiences that made me stare those ugly fellas right in the face. You know the kind you’re like holy moly those exist still…in me! I teach on limiting beliefs in relationships and I still have those suckers! What?!?
It was scary, I wanted to retreat back into my comfort zone but I knew that if I did love would not win. Freedom would have been lost. Pure bliss and what I’ve been seeking would have been put on hold again.
It’s in the discomfort, the breaking apart that freedom is found. It’s where happiness is expanded and our purpose prevails. If we don’t accept, feel and recognize the pain and the cracks in our soul we bury them instead of healing them. It’s in this moment we have 2 choices to make – Do we let this crack continue to break us? Or do we let the light in and fill the crack with beautiful things?
If we let the crack continue to slowly expand while blocking the light it becomes filled with more dirt, larger holes and more pain. We never fully experience beauty and freedom in this place. If we start to clean the break out and let more and more light shine in we can create something absolutely beautiful. We can turn our pain into passion, our hurts into happiness and the past into purpose.
I love how the universe shows us where we need to go, what we need to work on and gives us beautiful sprinkles of what can be if we just do the work to get there. Life is meant to be absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and enjoyed to the fullest.
What are you holding back today? What do you need to break free from to let the light in?
Make the conscious choice to break free from limiting beliefs, behaviors and relationships. And do the damn work to get there.
It’s Saturday and I’m feeling freaking full of gratitude, peace and love. Yes all the hippie qualities that I’m wildly obsessed with. I got invites to parties and bars this weekend but I’m so loving the party at my house. I’m at home with my kids, I meditated and did a total goddess yoga flow, filling my body with pure raw foods and working on creative content for my business. That’s what gets my energy juices flowing. I would rather zen out then hit up the hottest party. I would rather explore and travel than spend my time at a club. I feel like I have reached my inner badass and I’m so in love with her. If you’re inner badass is party hopping then rock on sister. That’s just not me anymore. But don’t get me wrong I love a good glam party once in a while just not the club hopping type.
I spent 30 plus years trying to uncover and figure out my inner truth and authenticity. I was afraid that if I let all that out I would be rejected and ridiculed. Which is right, I was rejected and ridiculed by some when I started speaking my truth. In that process a funny thing happened. The yucky vibers, the people that held me back from experiencing my greatness, the toxic relationships and everything in between started dropping out of my life. I lost friends and family members during that time. But those people were not my people.
As I reflect on my life and the people I’m surrounded with today intense gratitude fills my heart. The inner circle of friends that I have are powerhouse, authentic, truth tellers, bad ass, empowering, world changer people. I socialize with dreamers, entrepreneurs, entertainment industry influencers and bad ass every day people. This did not come overnight. It came from a process of mindset, behavior and environment changes. I made a conscious decision I wanted something better and bigger than the mediocre that surrounded me. If you want a change in your life, or if you’re tired of where you are now and know there’s more to life than this, I’m here to tell you there is! It’s time to tap into your inner badass and let her roar.
My inner badass was a process and I’m still working on her everyday. This is about rising up and being absolutely in love and confident with who you are. My biggest dream is to see all women tap into their God given power and create a life they are absolutely wildly in obsessed with. So I’m going to share with you my 5 top tips to invoke the inner badass within you. The same things that changed my life and put me on the path to success.
Clean Sweep Your Inner Circle. Have you heard the saying your future is determined by the 5 people you’re closest to? Well it’s true! If your inner circle consists of people who gossip, have no ambition, gold diggers aka women who want to mooch off others, complainers and naysayers then you’ve got some serious sweeping to do. Start networking and making connections with people who are where you want to be. I have the confidence to walk away from any person that gives me yucky vibes. Like if you don’t make my energy radiate – peace out sucker. Spending time on negative energy suckers is a waste of time. They will emotionally drain you and limit your ability to succeed. Be choosy of who you let into your life! You have one beautiful life surround yourself with people who radiate with good vibes!
Mindset is Everything. Get yo’ mind right! If you’re dwelling on limiting beliefs and thoughts then that’s where your life is going to stay. Badass women know that their thoughts shape their life. What are you telling yourself every single day? Is it I’ll never get out of this situation or is it I have the power to create the life of my dreams. Fill your life with positive, life giving, powerful thoughts with books, affirmations, podcasts, tv shows, and eliminate everything else. I only watch positive tv shows, I listen to powerful podcasts while getting ready, I have a Girl Boss music playlist that inspires me, my book shelf is full of empowerment self help books and my bathroom mirror is full of affirmations written in lipstick. I soak that stuff in! If you want to become a badass you have to make some changes worthy of badassery.
Gratitude. Before I even get out of bed I think of 5 things I’m grateful for. It immediately puts a smile on my face, creates a success mindset and sets my day. Instead of dreading the new day I’m ready to tackle it and do amazing things. I also keep a gratitude journal and write down those 5 things while meditating. Successful people practice gratitude! Practice an attitude of gratitude.
Meditation. Meditation is a key part of my life and success. I meditate every day, no exceptions. I find a comfortable spot and meditate for at least 10 minutes. i might light a candle, zen out on my yoga mat or just sit somewhere with no distractions. My spiritual practice is the foundation of my life. Get connected, pray, meditate, God designs things to happen beyond our wildest imagination and will guide us in the process. That daily 10 minutes of quiet will change your life.
Inner and Outer Wellness. Taking care of my body is also a spiritual practice. Our bodies are temples housing some amazing stuff. If we feel like crap how are we going to enjoy life and accomplish all that we want to? What you put in your body comes out. So if you’re filling up on all this processed junk it’s going to reflect in your appearance and how you feel. I challenge you to eat complete raw unprocessed organic foods for 30 days. The change will be shocking. When I first tried this I did it for 21 days, lost 13 lbs, my energy level rocketed, my skin was glowing and I felt absolutely amazing. I also have a daily yoga practice. Yoga was life changing for me! My stress levels diminished, my body was leaner and more flexible, sex life sky rocketed, back pain disappeared and it is the best natural high I’ve ever had.

It’s Flirty and Fabulous Online Dating Day 5 and today it’s all about being flirty and fun! Online Dating doesn’t have to be boring or something you hate doing. It actually can be a fun process to find some fabulous dates that eventually lead you to the “one.” So today it’s time to makeover those online dating profiles and mindsets!
What if you start approaching online dating with fun and positivity? Yes it can become discouraging to swipe right or left on hundreds of profiles without getting nothing but a dud. It’s important to stay in a positive mindset during the dating process. If we think negative about dating and the options out there then more negative experiences will attract themselves to us. When we start to have fun with the dating process our energy is reflected in our dates. I haven’t had a bad date since 2011 right after my divorce! And to be honest my mindset sucked at the time! I also learned how to screen my dates better before agreeing to meet them. It took months of re-programming how I approached dating and meeting new people. I’ve never been on a bad date since. Of course I went out with plenty of people that it just didn’t work out and we were not a good match but I always had fun in the process.
Be friendly and smile. A person that is friendly and smiles raises their attraction level. When you’re friendly online the potential date assumes you’ll be friendly and fun in person. This ups your chances of moving the interaction from online to in person.
Stay positive in your messages. Don’t talk about how bad your past dating experiences have been. A funny story here and there about a date gone wrong is ok but story after story of how dating sucks for you leaves a negative vibe. If it sucks so bad for you the person reading the messages might wonder what you do to make it so bad.
Be flirty. The best flirting is respectful and fun. Flirting is not sending questionable photos that you could regret later. Give casual compliments, be a little sassy and talk about fun topics. If you need more flirty tips check out our date coaching sessions where we teach you how to flirt successfully and not awkwardly.
So today I have a challenge for you! Let off more positive and fun energy on your profile, in your messages, in your mindset and on your dates. Let me know how the dating process changes for you. And remember do this consistently, it takes practice and persistence! Don’t give up until you find the “one!”

I felt like I had to put this out there because I don’t know how many times someone saw my online dating profile and then searched for my social media pages. I think it’s totally okay to check out someone’s social media accounts, it gives an extra glimpse into who they are. However, I highly recommend not to message them on the online dating site and then on all their social media accounts and then message them again when they don’t respond… Yes I’ve had that happen on several occasions. It looks creepy and gives out the wrong vibe. I even had a couple guys get mad at me for not responding to them after I obviously didn’t swipe right on Tinder. I’m like “I don’t even know you!”
So when it comes to online dating don’t cyber stalk. If someone doesn’t respond to your first or second message or your right swipe don’t track them down on social media. Cyber stalking looks desperate, is creepy and will not win you a date. However it might win you a restraining order. If you’re not getting a response from one person just move on to the next. You’ll connect with the right person. You can’t force a connection that’s not there. Also keep yourself safe from cyber stalking. If you have an erry feeling about someone delete them and don’t respond.
Also resist the urge to social media stalk someone new that you’re dating. Why are you checking up on someone that you’re newly dating? It’s easy to take things that you see on social media and over analyze what’s actually going on. I’ve seen many people cause unnecessary drama in a new relationship over something they saw on social media. Get to know someone for who they are not for what you see online. Unless of course their social media is filled with pictures of them and their spouse or any other major red flags! Then you know just to run in the opposite direction. Otherwise if they seem quite normal then let social media go for a while and get to know them.
How many times have you received a new message from a possible date with the words “Hi” “Hey” or “How are you?” Probably too many times to count! It’s time to spice it up! Do you want to stand out from the crowd or do you want to blend in with the rest of the millions of singles online? That’s why I created this Become Your Own Matchmaker Online Dating Series so that you can date successfully and stand out above all the rest!
In today’s tip I’m going to share with you a few tips on how to create an introduction that stands out. Remember you only have 7 seconds to make a great 1st impression and usually only have ONE chance to get someone to respond back. So it’s important to make that introduction catchy, cute and NOT creepy!
When writing a stellar introduction it’s important to remember a few tricks.
Use proper grammar. Bad grammar online is a turn off. Including texting slang and abbreviations. Stay away from ur, u, wat, r, yo and everything in between.
An introduction should not focus on physical compliments. You might think it’s a nice to send compliments like “You’re gorgeous” or “Hey sexy” but it looks like you’re focusing on physical traits more than getting to know someone for who they are as a person. Especially if you’re a guy sending this to a girl often it makes women feel a little creeped out because we wonder is that your pick up line for all girls. Are you just focusing on someone for their looks or do you really want to get to know me as a person?
Don’t use the horrible H’s, the “Hi” “Hey” or “How are you?” This is your time to get their attention. Instead of the normal hi and how are you’s ask a creative question. This will up your chances of them actually reading your message and getting a response.
Most important be flirty & confident! When you radiate with friendliness, fun and common respect (without using Hey Sexy) you’re more likely to get responses from high quality dates.

It’s Day 2 of Flirty & Fabulous Online Dating! Today we are still focusing on 1st impressions. When someone lands on your profile page you have less than 7 seconds to make a stellar first impression. It’s important to keep your online dating profile sweet and simple. You don’t want to bore your potential date before there’s even a date! You want them to be intrigued and curious to learn more about you. So the next Flirty & Fabulous Online Dating Tip is to keep your profile sweet & simple!
Here are a few tips to make a great first impression and get a potential dates attention.
What is your profile saying about you? At first glance what does your profile represent? Is it cute & catchy or does it have TOO much information? It’s important to keep your profile to one or two paragraphs. Leave room for some mystery. If you tell your life story in your profile it can bore the reader and/or it leaves less to build an engaging conversation.
Keep it Short. Write a paragraph or two highlighting a few things about your personality and what you’re looking for. Don’t give away the whole farm! Focus on a few interesting facts about yourself that would want someone to learn more details about you.
Keep it catchy & cute. I read the cutest online profile from a guy that highlighted his interesting facts with pretend reviews. For example a couple of the reviews said, “One of my favorite guys.” Mom “Incredible rock climber and master ping pong player.” Dave -Best friend since 2nd grade. It was different, catchy and cute! Do something out of the ordinary to spice up your profile and make it stand out. Let your personality shine!
No negativity. And last but not least stay away from all forms of negativity on your profile. Don’t talk about your ex, your past bad dating experiences or why you can’t believe you’re on online dating. Keep your profile upbeat and fun! You’ll attract what you put out there. No one likes a negative Nancy. Remember the saying misery breeds company. You don’t want a miserable date!

If you’re not sure change it up if you’re not getting results and see what works for you. Or take advantage of our online dating makeover package here! Have you heard the saying first impressions are everything? It’s true! Especially in the world of online dating. You literally have a few seconds to make a great first impression and have someone click on your profile. Not only do you want people to click on your profile, you want the right people to click on your profile!
Your pictures need to tell a story of who you are. Post photos that show your personality, your hobbies, what you like to do on the weekends. Do you like rock climbing? Post a photo of you climbing. It might spark a conversation with someone with similar interests and it shows you have an exciting life.
Make sure the pictures are current! There’s nothing worse than showing up to a date expecting someone 10 years younger. Be truthful about who you are. You don’t want someone to feel lied to, the date won’t go in your favor.
Don’t show too much skin! There’s nothing worse than seeing a picture of a man flexing in the mirror with his nasty toliet behind him. And ladies keep it classy! If you’re showing too much boob in the profile picture you’re going to attract all kinds of sleezy men. Don’t be surprised when they show up to the date wanting one thing and I’m not talking about a committed relationship.
Post 3-5 current pictures on your profile. There’s no need to overload your profile with too much information. Keep some of your life a mystery so there’s lots to talk about at the date!
